Delete your account
Deletion starts a 30-day grace period. Sign in during it to cancel; after it your data is gone for good.

- Open Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Tell us why, if you like, and confirm with your password.
- Your profile disappears immediately.
The 30-day grace period
For 30 days the account is deactivated, not deleted. Signing in during that time restores everything. After 30 days your posts, messages, media and profile are permanently erased from our servers and backups within a further 30 days.
Messages you sent to other people stay in their chats; deletion removes your copy and your name from them.
