How For You is ranked
A mix of who you follow, what you engage with and what is new, fixed for the session so nothing jumps.

For You blends posts from people you follow with posts from people you do not, in an order chosen for you. It looks at what you have liked, replied to and watched, at who you follow and who they follow, and at how recent a post is.
The order is fixed while you scroll. Liking or replying never moves a post, and pull to refresh is the only thing that brings a new order.
Following
Only people you follow, newest first, with no ranking at all.
Nearby
Posts tagged near your approximate location. It is on by default; turn it off in Settings → Privacy → Share location.
Communities
Posts from the communities you have joined, ranked by votes and recency.
