Your PIN and QR code

Every account has an 8-character PIN and a QR code. Share either and people can chat with you at once.

Your PIN is a short code made of letters and digits, unique to your account, that never changes. It is the quickest way to reach someone without knowing their username.

Find your PIN

  1. Open Messages.
  2. Tap the QR icon at the top of the inbox.
  3. Your QR code and PIN appear. Tap Copy or Share.

Find someone by PIN

  1. On the same screen, type their PIN into Find someone by PIN and tap Find.
  2. Or tap Scan and point the camera at their code.
  3. Their profile appears; tap it to start a chat.

You can also type a PIN straight into the inbox search field.

A PIN reveals only your public profile. Message requests and blocking work exactly as they do for anyone else.
